I’ve just started my new job and one of the first tasks I have been given is to write car reviews for the company’s website. I could think of worse things to be given on my first day, like making tea or filing, but I suppose it is one of the more menial tasks within the company, although I’m definitely not complaining. I really enjoy writing anyway, and this just gives me a chance to be creative and show what I can do! They’ve given me a handful of other bits to do as well, so I’m keeping myself busy!

My brothers and I decided to go in on a set of angle grinders for my dad for Father’s Day. I know that he is going to be so excited about this because he definitely needs new tools. My brothers and I have used his tools quite frequently over the years. I feel as if it is about time for us to pay him back. I cannot wait to see the look on his face when he realizes what we have done.

All this talk about Portable Fabric Steamers and irons has me thinking about the first time that I started using an iron. My mother used to make a big fuss about ironing my pants for school and for church. I being the lazy person that I was did not really care about how my clothes looked at all. I believe I was in the 7th or 8th grade when I started ironing my clothes on my father’s urging. My brother was in college and my home duties were increased for his sake. I hated ironing and still do. I guess that is why I ear sweat clothes then nice clothes.
